Human body is designed to heal itself and Nature is full of ingredients that can keep us in good health and shape. But, somehow in the current Technological Era and Processed Food Industry boom our Health, Fitness and Mental well being has taken a back seat.
Dr. Shipra Bhatnagar has obtained her Doctorate degree in Foods & Nutrition in the year 2004, She works passionately since almost last 15 years towards guiding people achieve their weight loss and health goals. She believes in providing optimum nutrition through natural foods that is eaten on a daily basis. She is a staunch criticizer of Fad Diets, Meal Replacers and Weight Loss Supplements.
Her main areas of expertise include weight loss with associated health issues like Diabetes Mellitus, Cardio Vascular Diseases, High Uric Acid, Hypertension, Gastro Intestinal Disorders, Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD), Hysterectomy, Thyroid, Arthritis and other health ailments.
She has also achieved remarkable results in teen age weight loss cases associated with PCOD & Insulin Resistance.
Being a Certified Diabetes Educator, she has successfully helped many of her Diabetic clients in completely stopping their Diabetes medicine. Under her constant guidance and supports clients have learnt to understand Diabetes and its management. Her clients got wonderful results with most of them got off medicine or have reduced their medicines significantly. She has earned trust of many renowned doctors of Ahmedabad with her positive approach to deal with difficult cases and bringing significant Life Style changes. She has her online presence Pan India and Globally.
Dr. Shipra is also a faculty at Life Science Department of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, for M.Sc. (Food Science and Nutrition) course. M.Sc. dissertation is undertaken by students under her guidance.
She has a flair for writing and is a regular contributor of nutrition related articles for linkedin,  popular National Hindi magazine “Gruhshobha”. She is a life member of IDA (Indian Dietetic Association) and also contributes to blog writing for IDA.
Her papers have been published in renowned journals. She has presented posters at many international and national conferences. She has also conducted  many seminars and workshops.
As founder of Nutrition Needs – A Diet Counselling Centre, she feels healthy diet and regular physical activity are the two pillars of a disease free life. People simply forget to respect and nourish their body that they are born with.
